| After business school, I returned to my native state where I worked as an accountant (later a financial planner), and ran successfully for the state senate. In 1990 I ran for Congress on the Republican ticket and lost to now-U.S. Senator Tim Johnson. In 2004 I co-chaired Republicans for Senator Daschle.
My current work as a forensic economist has led to testimonial engagements in all parts of the country. In the wake of the September 11, 2001 tragedy, I testified nearly 100 times on behalf of survivors making claims to the Federal Victim Compensation Fund. I also developed a sophisticated online analysis tool, available at no charge, that was used by nearly 1000 VCF claimants or their attorneys. I regard my VCF work as my |
